Harry finds Peter who has been turned into a sugar glider.

Harry almost didn't want to know, but considering today's madness... he had to at least check. He headed out his door, glancing around for tiny, furry creatures, finding the hallway blessedly empty. When he got to Peter and Nick's room, the door was open... which he wasn't sure was a great sign. He poked his head in. "... Pete?"

At the sound of his name, Peter’s head popped up from the rumpled blankets on his bed. He squeaked when he saw Harry, jumped off the bed, and skittered across the floor. He stopped in front of him and sat back on his haunches, looking up at him. His So, apparently, I’m a rodent was lost in chitters. Also, you’re really tall.

Harry sighed. "You have got to be fucking kidding me." He ducked down and held out one hand. "Let me guess? Peter?"

Yup. What’s left of me anyway, Peter squeaked with a bob of his head, and clambered up onto the offered hand.

"Oh my god, weird little rodent hands," Harry said, making a face as he lifted Peter to eye level.

Peter looked down at them, then rested one on Harry’s thumb. This is weirder for me. Trust me. I can see up your nose.

"Okay, just..." Harry scrunched up his face and lifted Peter into the front lapel-ish pocket of his jacket. "Just hang out in my pocket there. Or something. Someone around here must know what the fuck is happening."

Peter looked out from Harry’s pocket, paws curled over the edge. This was possibly even weirder.

"We have been through some weird shit, Pete. But this is... special," Harry said.

You’re not kidding, Peter squeaked. Turning around, he pushed himself up on his back legs and climbed up onto Harry’s shoulder.

"I wonder if Kitty's a cat or something," Harry mused, trying not to be too weirded out by the scrabble of rodent hands on his shoulder. "I kinda hope so. She'll probably yell, otherwise."

Peter gave Harry a look. He really hoped Kitty wasn’t a cat for multiple reasons. One of which being that cats ate rodents. Even if Kitty wouldn’t actually eat him, the thought was still kiiiinda disturbing.

"What? Don't look at me like that, oh my god, how can a rodent look at me like anything?" Harry winced.

If a sugar glider could look smug and mischievous, Peter would have looked just like that as he gave Harry another look just because he could. It’s alright, Harry. On the bright side, you’re probably not the only person talking to a rodent today. He patted his neck reassuringly.

"I'm actually starting to understand you. And your little rodent hands aren't creeping me out." Harry sighed. Welp. It was just going to be A Day, wasn't it? A Day where the crazy militarized mutant-based body armor at Oscorp looked normal.
