Alisha meets the boy behind the dog. They both decide they like what they see.

The fact that he didn't know the birthday girl didn't bother Sirius, in fact nothing deterred Sirius Black when it came to parties. Music, people, alcohol whether legal or not and music, what was there not to like?

Dressed warmly but pretty smartly in a button down and skinny jeans with dark leather, he was watching some of the dancers from close by the bonfire.

The school itself interested him little but these students, well they were the cause of the pull he was feeling now that his week visit was drawing to a close. The students that he'd met had been fascinating and Remus's power, well that both intrigued and saddened him. He even had friends here already but in Harrow he had family (real family, not the Blacks) and he had James. It was hard to even consider trading in that.

There was something naggingly familiar about the boy. She knew - or at least recognized - everyone at the party except for him. What annoyed her was that his name was on the tip of her tongue, as if she'd met him before. And maybe that meant he was a new arrival and she had seen him. It bothered her enough - or really, she thought he was attractive and wanted to flirt - and so she made her way over to him.

"Bored?" Why else would someone who looked like him be on the outskirts of the party?

Sirius turned to the voice and smiled in greeting, the girl he'd watched telly with. The very pretty girl he'd watched telly with, in fact.

"Not bored, getting a measure of the people." He'd also been having a scan around for faces better known to him: Brian, Shinobi, Karolina or even Vance and Remus. He suspected it might be too close to the latter's time of the month though which was a shame. It would have been nice to say goodbye. Still, there was party going on and he could still enjoy that. "Prospective new student, Sirius Black. And you?" He offered her his hand politely.

Her eyebrows shot up when she heard the name. "Alisha Daniels. I think we've already been informally introduced. Usually I like to know someone's really a person before I start stroking them." She was lucky she hadn't known he was a person. She didn't have any idea whether she didn't know he should be affected had played any part or whether her powers just didn't work against animals. Deciding not to risk her powers working on the man, she didn't offer her hand.

"I like to think I'm a special case." Sirius flashed a grin at her, turning fully to her as he spoke. "Hope you're not one of the ones pissed at me for it, I thought we had a lovely little snuggle on the sofa personally."

"Only upset that I didn't know you were human. I would have made sure you were in your human form when cuddling." Except that it would have been dangerous. Maybe. Probably.

"I'm human now." He couldn't not point out as he lent in just a little.

"Is that your way of asking me to pet you now?" she asked and leaned in a bit teasingly.

He flashed her a brilliant, and extra flirty, smile. "If it was, would you?"

"Maybe. If you're very nice." She'd have to define 'nice'.

Eyebrows rose just a little "Oh really? You don't strike me as the kind of girl who likes 'nice' guys."

"Depends on how you're nice, doesn't it? Rubbing me the right way counts." Besides, there was fun and there was cruel and that was a line that she didn't cross.

"Well, I guess I do technically owe you considering you've already stroked me plenty." Sirius chuckled a little, the banter wasn't his most brilliant but still more than enough to entertain him. Even if it hadn't been, there was the very pretty girl in front of him. What was there not to be happy about? "But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Would you like to dance with me, Miss Daniels?" He offered her his hand with a smile.

"I would," she said, a soft regret in her voice that was at odds with the look she was giving his hand, as if he was offering vipers. It made her sick that she couldn't do something as simple as dance with a boy without it going to sex. Sex was fun, but the dance was just as fun and it lasted longer. "But here might not not be the best place. My power. It means I'm hands off."

Although Sirius gave her a look that said You've touched me before without a problem, he accepted what she said immediately. He did add curiously though. "Ok, we don't have to touch to dance. It this any touch or just your hands?"

And that was the problem. She knew fuck all about her powers. Her curse. She just knew that it had worked every time but didn't work on animals. So it should work on Sirius. "Skin to skin."

"Then I'll be careful." He promised, serious for a moment to reassure her he wasn't going to do anything against her wishes. "Now, shall we hit the floor?"

She nodded slowly and then was forced to add, "But don't be surprised if we shock the kiddies if you accidentally touch me." She probably shouldn't take the risk, but she remembered Kevin and how he always wore his gloves. She was tired of safe. Tired of protecting herself for fear that she would turn someone into a maniac. She just wanted to have fun.

"Darling, I love to shock." He told her with a wink.

"I think," Alisha said, stepping in close, "that you and I are going to get along just fine."

"More than fine, I'm sure." He took a step too, there was still a gap between them but just barely. Enough to push the boundaries without any real dangers. From there he started to dance.

"I think my hips are safe," she teased as she slid her hands onto his chest. Maybe wrapping them around the back of his neck was taboo, but that didn't mean she was going to stand inches apart like some kind of crap ballroom dancing.

Sirius's hands were resting at the small of he back, guiding her closer almost immediately. This was, after all, one of the few situations in which he was totally cool with taking (and following) orders.

"So have you decided whether you're coming here or not?" She tilted her face up and grinned. "Personally, I'm in favour."

"I am very, very tempted." Sirius told her honestly though there were still strong ties to home (Harrow and the Potters) not to mention his contract with MIC. "If the producers are cool with it, of course."

"You have to get your producers to agree to let you come to Freak High?" she asked, clearly disbelieving.

"No but being in Yankie-land when I'm needed in Chelsea could potentially be a logistical challenge. They like us to be at their beck and call, you see. Plus they don't know about the mutant thing. Yet." He explained before adding "That's not my main concern but it's still something to consider."

"There are these things called 'planes'. I'm sure you could manage to get back home if you really needed to." She'd have thought that celebrities rarely did things at the last minute. Except their drunken orgies.

"This is true, and like I said I'm very, very tempted to enroll here. And you're only making it more tempting." He winked flirtatiously as they kept on dancing.

"Then my job here...is just beginning." She laughed and pressed just a little closer, curling her hands in his shirt so she could close her eyes and just enjoy herself for a minute.

Sirius smiled down at her. Pretty, feisty and up for banter, he definitely needed more girls like Alisha in his life. It was the one downside to an all-boys boarding school after all.
