Fraser and Natasha (2/11)
Fraser attempts to ask Natasha out for a Valentines Day date. They make plans to stay in.
With the weekend approaching Fraser realized that he running low on time before Valentine's Day was here. Natasha hasn't brought up the subject, and he felt silly for thinking about it, but it was the sort of holiday one might want to spend with the girl one was seeing in some manner. He waited until after class and caught Natasha's gaze before the students dispersed into the hallway. Heading over to her, he asked, "Do you have a moment?"
Natasha pulled her backpack onto her shoulders, and then nodded. "Sure," she said, eyeing him curiously.
He slid his hands into his pockets. "I was wondering, do you have plans this weekend?"
She blinked for a moment, and then gestured with her head for him to follow her. Not that Natasha was hiding her time with Fraser, but she was also always inclined to privacy. "Not really," she said, as they ambled to a secluded part of the hallway.
Fraser followed, responding to her immediately as always. When they were farther from other students he continued. "Would you like to do something for Valentine's Day? By chance?"
Natasha was, for once, legitimately surprised. "You...want to do something with me for Valentine's day?"
"Yes. If you would like," Fraser amended.
She was rarely at a loss for words, instead more often simply choosing to be quiet. This time, though, Natasha almost did not know what to say. "What kind of something?"
"We could go out somewhere," Fraser suggested. "Or I would be happy to cook dinner for you again. Is there anyplace in particular you've wanted to go?"
"Wouldn't you rather stay in?" If emotion and courting were new to her, seduction certainly wasn't and Natasha was more than ready to slip back into old habits.
He smiled. "Only if that's what you wish. I am willing to try new ideas."
She shook her head a bit. "Staying in suits me."
"I can prepare something for us then" He was glad she spent time with him. Going out wasn't a necessity. Fraser hadn't hit a point where he'd worry that she only kept him around for hedonistic purposes. Right now, that seemed a completely foolish complaint.
Natasha smiled. "And what should I do to prepare?"
He twisted a strand of her hair between his fingers and then tucked it behind her ear. "Pack a bag for the weekend?" He suggested with a grin.
She quirked an eyebrow, and then raked her gaze over him. "Anything in particular you would like me to...wear?"
With a look like that, Fraser was starting to wish the cabin was much closer, or that the school was a bit less inhabited. He blinked at the first few suggestions that came to mind and then glanced over Natasha's shoulder. No one around to gawk. Fraser leaned and kissed her, one palm sliding along her hip. When he broke the kiss her murmured near her ear, "Something without complex fastenings might be wise," he suggested. "Unless you prefer me to work around."
"Mmm...there's a joke to be made about undoing them with your teeth," she pointed out, smirking.
"I suppose it's not the worst challenge I've had to work around without my hands free," he mused.
"Well, then. We will just have to see."
He smiled and leaned to steal another short kiss.
Natasha kissed him back, her embrace full of promise for what their Valentine's day might hold. "What time should I be there?"
"How about Saturday, late afternoon?" They could make a weekend of it.
"I'll be there," she promised.
